Lean On Me Cancer Support Now Live

I’m thrilled to share with you the story of our recent website build for Lean On Me Cancer Support Foundation. As a website designer, I had the honor of working closely with Davina R. Williams and her dedicated team to create a digital platform that truly reflects the heart and mission of their organization.

 

Established in 2017 as a 501(c)(3), Lean On Me Cancer Support Foundation is on a mission to provide educational, financial, and emotional aid to individuals and families battling all forms of cancer. What sets them apart is that they are not just a group of professionals; they are cancer survivors and thrivers themselves. Their firsthand experience gives them a unique understanding of the challenges that individuals face when navigating the complex journey of cancer diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and the financial burdens that come with it.

 

The moment we began this project, it was clear that Lean On Me Cancer Support Foundation needed a website that would serve as a beacon of hope, empathy, and support. Our goal was to create a virtual space where cancer patients and their families could find solace, resources, and a sense of community.

 

With a friendly and engaging tone, we crafted the website content to assure every visitor that they are not alone in their fight against cancer. We wanted to convey the message that, despite the frightening outlook and the potential loneliness that cancer can bring, there is a network of people who care deeply about their well-being.

 

Through thoughtfully organized pages, we highlighted the different areas where Lean On Me Cancer Support Foundation provides assistance. We developed an “About” page that eloquently expresses their origin and the passion that drives their work. The page highlights their team of survivors and thrivers, emphasizing their ability to empathize and connect with those going through similar experiences.

 

Our design aimed to create an inviting and warm atmosphere, using colors and imagery that evoke feelings of comfort and strength. The navigation menus were carefully structured to ensure that visitors can easily find the information they need, whether it’s resources for financial aid, educational materials, or support group information.

 

We also integrated various functionalities to enhance the user experience. A user-friendly donation system was implemented, allowing supporters to contribute to the foundation’s cause with just a few clicks. We incorporated social media integration to foster a sense of community and encourage sharing of stories and experiences.

 

Cancer is a deeply personal and challenging journey, and the Lean On Me Cancer Support Foundation website now stands as a digital companion to everyone facing these difficulties. Our hope is that the website will empower and uplift each cancer patient who visits, reminding them that they are loved and supported, regardless of the obstacles they may encounter.
